We advocate for a systematic approach to fixing financially unsustainable sprawl and creating a resilient and prosperous community where every Clarksvillian can live a GOOD LIFE in their chosen way. Success: Our children and grandchildren CHOOSE to build their lives here, and they can actually AFFORD to.
1. The best results are achieved by a consistent long-term plan with actionable incremental steps. Consistent long-term plans require durable public trust. Durable public trust is achieved through consistent positive results, transparency, and integrity.
2. Clarksville is not subservient to the State and Federal Government. Clarksville is an equal partner with free-will and control.
3. Plans without subsequent follow-through of adequate implementation funding are a waste of taxpayer funds.
4. Clarksville has plans on the books that can be executed promptly with adequate implementation funding.
5. Excellence must be demanded from Clarksville and Montgomery County.
6. Unaccounted long term maintenace and sprawl can bankrupt our city. Transparency of these costs starts with the budget.
1. Politicians as persons of authority over others must be held accountable to the highest standard.
2. Being a politician demands selfless, courageous, and competent leadership.
3. Politicians have an immense impact on the daily lives of people, though action AND inaction.
4. Every problem has an optimal solution. Find it.
5. Transparency and honesty aren’t buzzwords. “I should know, but I don’t know, so I will find out and let you know” is an acceptable answer with follow-through. Give people the reason to trust you.
